The satisfaction that comes from solving a puzzling learning problem or challenge in business is exactly what drives me. I’m passionate about learning and I’m always learning something new. I love to share an excitement about learning by designing engaging, human-centred learning experiences and by helping people and businesses to provide better experiences for learners.
A background in communications helps me ensure resources are clear and accessible for all users.
I have been fortunate to work on a wide variety of courses spanning many subject areas. For English as a Second Language I’ve developed business English, academic English, critical thinking and other courses. I have designed higher education courses ranging from Certificate II to Advanced Diplomas in business, marketing, project management, leadership and management. I have also had the pleasure of building and teaching corporate courses in leadership development.
Most of my recent teaching activity has involved delivering professional development to experienced educators, helping them to add new methods and new technology to their own practice and helping them to make use of better learning design in anything they do.
When designing learning experiences, I believe collaboration leads to the best learning solution possible. I have extensive experience leading cross-departmental teams.
